Mumbai (Maharashtra) (India), May 27 (ANI): Mumbai Police on Monday said it had received a threat call in which a caller mentioned that bombs had been planted at the Taj Hotel and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in the city .
The police investigated the building, but nothing suspicious was found.
According to police, the call came from Uttar Pradesh and police are now looking for the caller.
Further research is being conducted.
This comes days after the Mumbai Police control room received a bomb threat in which the caller informed police that an explosion would take place at McDonald’s in Dadar, police said on Sunday.
According to police, the caller said he overheard a conversation between two people while on a bus trip who were talking about “blowing up McDonald’s.”
Police added that they found no suspicious items at the scene.
Earlier, Delhi Police said on Wednesday that the police control room in North Block, where the Home Ministry is housed, received a bomb threat email.
This comes after several schools in Delhi-NCR, Jaipur, Uttar Pradesh and Bengaluru received bomb threats via email, creating a panic situation. However, all emails containing threats to schools turned out to be hoaxes. (ANI)
