The Riu Palace Mauritius and Riu Turqoise on the Le Morne Peninsula in Mauritius run on clean energy

On May 31, Riu Palace Mauritius and Riu Turquoise, two luxurious additions to the Spanish hotel group’s portfolio, will open in tropical Mauritius.

They replace two of the former hotels on the same location on the Le Morne Peninsula and have been rebuilt with an elevated concept that puts sustainability first.

As such, they are also Riu’s most energy-efficient hotels, running on clean energy generated by more than 2,400 solar panels.

Both hotels are 24-hour all-inclusive resorts where guests have access to food and drinks at all times.

Apart from the opulent surroundings and great service, each establishment promises its own brand of hospitality and guest experience.

The Riu Palace Mauritius, a four-star superior hotel for adults and the first Palace brand for Riu in Mauritius, has 310 rooms, of which 255 are junior suites, some with panoramic ocean views. For dining options, guests can try a variety of delicious dishes at the hotel’s main restaurant and five themed restaurants (including an Indian, Asian, fusion, grill and steak restaurant), a patisserie and ice cream parlour, and six lounges and bars.

Amenities are designed to provide ultimate enjoyment with three pools, including one with a swim-up bar and a private pool for Elite Club guests.

Enjoy ocean views from the comfort of your room at Riu Turquoise

Riu Turquoise, on the other hand, is a family-friendly four-star hotel. With 390 rooms, including 244 with sea views and 10 family rooms, all have been carefully designed to meet the needs of families.

The hotel facilities include three outdoor swimming pools, one with a swim-up bar for guests aged 18 and over, the other a children’s pool with slides.

Riu Turquoise’s restaurants include the main restaurant and three themed restaurants: an Indian restaurant, a grill restaurant and a steakhouse. Adults can enjoy a nightcap in one of the four lounges and bars.

In addition, guests of Riu Palace Mauritius can enjoy all the facilities of Riu Turquoise.

Both hotels offer a variety of activities for guests, such as an on-site gym, spa, RiuFit, a daily sports program and water activities from stand-up paddle surfing to kayaking and snorkeling. There is also a free Kids Club at Riu Turquoise.

Relax in the evening with a variety of entertainment, from live music and karaoke to shows, game shows and even a traditional Mauritian dance.

Enhance the experience with Elite Club

Elite Club guests of Riu Palace Mauritius receive special privileges, such as access to the private swimming pool

For a better experience, the Elite club at the Riu Palace Mauritius offers a range of exclusive privileges.

From personalized late check-in and late check-out to access to the private pool and lounge area and priority reservations for the themed restaurants, Elite Club guests are treated to a tailor-made experience tailored to their needs.

They can stay in one of 55 junior suites for Elite Club guests, some of which have their own private pool.

They also have exclusive access to the hotel’s premium branded drinks poolside, a special room service menu and a more luxurious minibar with in-room drinks.
